Senior BMS Specialist Engineer

The Senior BMS (Building Management System) Specialist Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, integration, and maintenance of advanced BMS solutions within facilities management operations. This role ensures optimal performance of building automation systems, energy efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. The position requires strong technical expertise in MEP systems and BMS technologies, combined with leadership skills to manage projects and support operational excellence.

System Design & Integration

• Develop and review BMS designs, specifications, and integration plans for HVAC, lighting, and other MEP systems.
• Ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure and compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Project Management

• Lead BMS-related projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors for seamless execution.

Operations & Maintenance

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of BMS systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions promptly.

Energy Optimization

• Monitor and analyze building performance data to identify energy-saving opportunities.
• Implement strategies for sustainability and cost reduction.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, updates, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Team Support & Training

• Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and FM staff.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in BMS and smart building solutions.

Education

• BSc degree in MEP Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing specialization).

Certifications

• Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent professional certification.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the same position within the Facilities Management (FM) field, with proven expertise in BMS systems.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of BMS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider).
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, electrical controls, and energy management principles.
• Proficiency in system diagnostics, programming, and integration.

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.

Preferred

• Experience with IoT-based building automation and smart building technologies.
