About the role

As the Product Communications Manager, you will support the development of compelling product and service narratives that bring Qatar Airways' customer experience vision to life. You transform product features, service attributes, and design decisions into stories that explain not only what we offer, but why it matters for our passengers. You will be working closely with the  teams across culinary, interiors, IFE, service, design and amenities, this role ensures every initiative is communicated with clarity, emotional resonance, and consistency.  

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

  • Assist in crafting communication strategies that articulate the vision, value propositions and defining attributes of products and services.
  • Support development of product and service narratives that highlight both functional benefits and emotional outcomes for passengers.
  • Contribute to building a centralized "single source of truth" for product insights, value propositions, briefs, and specifications.
  • Contribute to story-driven communication tools such as product storyboards, persona-led narratives, concept evolution stories, and journey-based storytelling.
  • Assist in gathering and reviewing customer insights, market research and industry trends to inform narrative positioning.
  • Support senior leadership communication materials including decks, talking points and briefing notes by contributing research, narrative framing and message clarity. Ensure messaging alignment across all CX and Product divisions by supporting the Manager in developing consistent narrative pillars.
  • Draft internal communication materials, including product fact sheets, briefing notes, launch narratives, and crew communication messages.
  • Translate technical information and product specifications into simple, human-centred storytelling for internal stakeholders.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Communications, Marketing, Business, PR or a related field; a Master's degree is an advantage with minimum 10 years' experience in corporate communications, product marketing and/or strategy role.
  • Strong understanding of customer experience (CX) principles.
  • Experience working in airline, travel industry or branding agencies with familiarity in airline product & service concepts (e.g., cabin classes, seats, inflight services including, comfort, entertainment, catering and other onboard customer experience elements).
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with SMEs and senior stakeholders to align product communications.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills 

    and market knowledge and alignment with the industry trends and leading practices.

  • Proven track record of developing and delivering impactful communication strategies in large and cross functional environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging narratives for complex topics.
  • Exceptional copywriting and editorial skills with a strong command of tone, clarity and messaging for diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence without authority.
  • Proficient with communication and content creation tools (e.g., MS Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Content Management System (CMS) and proof-reading tools).
  • Project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables.
  • Leadership and strategic thinking capabilities, with a proven ability to lead cross functional and multi-cultural teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Dynamic individual, highly adaptable, curious, and driven by ideas.
