Job description

  • Plan, supervise, and execute electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for LV, MV, and HV systems.

  • Ensure that all commissioning procedures, check sheets, and test records are properly completed and documented.

  • Coordinate with construction, mechanical completion, and instrumentation teams for system readiness.

  • Lead and manage electrical technicians, supervisors, and subcontractors during commissioning.

  • Oversee loop checks, insulation resistance testing, hi-pot testing, primary injection, secondary injection, and other functional tests.

  • Ensure proper commissioning of:

    • Switchgear (LV/MV)

    • Transformers and motors

    • UPS systems and battery chargers

    • Lighting, earthing, and lightning protection systems

    • Electrical distribution networks

  • Review and approve test packages, method statements, and commissioning procedures.

  • Monitor system handover from construction to commissioning (A/B punch list clearance).

  • Coordinate with vendors for pre-commissioning/commissioning of vendor packages.

  • Ensure strict compliance with HSE procedures during all site activities.

  • Support start-up and energization activities under safe conditions.

  • Prepare and submit daily progress reports and maintain commissioning logs.

  • Participate in technical meetings, commissioning planning sessions, and readiness reviews.

  • Provide input to as-built documentation and commissioning dossiers.

Job requirements

Qualification: BE/BTech - Electrical
Experience - Min. 10 years

Candidate must have experience in Gulf.
