The company is involved in major greenfield and brownfield developments, offering long-term project exposure in complex, multidisciplinary environments.Role OverviewThe QA/QC Engineer (Civil) will be responsible for managing and overseeing quality assurance and quality control activities for civil and structural works on major process plant and energy projects. This role requires extensive site-based experience and strong leadership capability within multicultural project teams.Key Responsibilities Review, coordinate, and support submission of QA/QC documentation including ITPs, QCPs, MARs, and related quality records in line with the construction programmeSupport functional supervision in the review and approval of quality, engineering, and procurement documentationEnsure full implementation of project QA/QC requirements at site, suppliers, and subcontractors in compliance with specifications and technical standardsOrganise and participate in pre-activity meetings, quality walkthroughs, and regular QA/QC meetingsConduct on-site and off-site surveillance and inspections of civil and structural activitiesIdentify non-conformances and direct contractors on corrective and preventive actionsInitiate and manage NCRs, including follow-up on root cause analysis and close-outMonitor material test certificates, construction dossiers, and traceability recordsVerify implementation of preservation management systemsEnsure inspection and test equipment registers and calibration records are maintainedMonitor inspection and test status of civil works and review statistical quality dataTrack and report KPIs and performance indicators relevant to the disciplineParticipate in internal and external audits, including vendor and subcontractor auditsSupervise and coordinate discipline inspectors and QA/QC personnelProvide technical guidance and report quality issues to the functional supervisorWork in construction site and outdoor conditions for a significant portion of the roleComply with project safety requirements and promote a strong safety culture Candidate Requirements Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institutionCertified QMS Lead Auditor (IRCA or equivalent)Additional professional certifications or memberships with recognised international bodies are desirableExtensive experience in QA/QC civil and structural works on major oil and gas or energy projectsProven experience on large greenfield or brownfield process plants; experience on large-scale solar or photovoltaic projects is an advantageStrong working knowledge of QA/QC processes, testing requirements, and acceptance criteriaGood understanding and application of international codes and standards relevant to civil and structural works (such as BS, EN, ISO, ASTM, ACI, AISC, or equivalent)Hands-on experience with quality plans, inspection and test plans, audits, and surveillance programmesExperience managing QA/QC teams and coordinating inspection activitiesAbility to resolve complex quality issues arising from technical interpretation or scope clarificationStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments
