Durham School for Girls Doha (DSGD) is seeking to appoint a dedicated and inspirational Female Secondary SENDCO to join our High Performance learning team school for August 2024. Durham is a sister school to Durham School UK and part of Durham International.
Being part of the new inclusion team, we are looking for someone with experience and a buy in for the school vision and aims to work with the Secondary SENDCo and the Deputy Head Whole School inclusion to support our girls. As a SENDCo, you will need to lead and support girls with interventions, work with staff on pupil progress meetings and create and monitor IEPs and targets. In DSGD our girls have mainly EAL issues and moderate to low learning differences. We are not a SEN school, but do have girls needing support and specific targets.
Being a registered SENDCo is not required, but experience in learning support, EAL and international provision is. Experience with international schools would be a benefit.
Come and join a fully accredited BSO and QNSA school and the first All Female International HPL World Class School. We are a British School serving both the local and International community. DSGD is a member of both BSME and AOBSO.
Entering into our 6th Year, we are pushing for high standards in all areas of learning. We offer a full range of IGCSE and AS levels to our girls, with many of them entering into top universities including Virginia Commonwealth, Northwestern, Carnegie Mellon and Qatar University.

Your role will be the secondary SENDCo, helping to raise standards and develop a love of learning for all our secondary girls. Ultimately ensuring the best support and opportunities for our girls . We are a non selective school and have set high standards for our girls with both academic and pastoral expectations. With in your department, you will be expected to be an active member, supporting and developing the team with innovative planning and accurate assessment. Experience in KS 3,4 and 5 is optional. In the school. We want to develop this and create a school with a great reputation for high levels and great values. We want our girls to have a passion for learning and the support to be the best they can be.
