We are currently recruiting for Digital Media Lead Sales Officer for Internal Media Services Department.

Reporting to the Sales Manager at Hamad International Airport, the jobholder is responsible for developing new leads, prospect and visit potential clients. Manage existing customer relationships and close sales deals, either over the telephone/email or in person, with the aim of maximizing sales revenues, increasing client portfolio and achieving revenue targets for Internal Media Services (IMS).

Operational Accountabilities

  • Work closely with airport authority, HIA and QR Group teams, and Sales Manager to identify new media advertising channels including digital and static displays to grow the company portfolio.
  • Creative thinking and brainstorming innovative OOH (Out-of-Home) advertising solutions to prepare mockup of new ideas and media proposals in order to pitch new clients to advertise with IMS at the airport to generate more sales.
  • Monitor the site production work from the vendors through the IMS Operations Officer on day-to-day ad campaign basis, to ensure production activities are as per agreed budget, timeline, quality etc.
  • Plan and organize personal sales strategy in order to maximize the return on time investment.
  • Smartly and tactical cold calling to arrange meetings with potential and existing customers to prospect for new business.
  • Identify and assist with the development of new media opportunities and revenue streams e.g. in-house production, innovation and design to deliver new revenue streams to IMS.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of key and new client strategies to increase spend per client and convert non-spending advertisers into clients.
  • Discuss sales initiatives and deliver presentations to large Qatar, MENA and International agencies and advertisers to grow the client portfolio and meet targeted advertising sales from Qatar, the wider MENA region and International markets.
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationship with current customers and prospective customers in to generate new business for IMS.
  • Maintain regular contact and follow-up via phone, email, face to face visit with all clients in the market area, provide support whenever required to ensure high level of client satisfaction.
  • Provide line manager with detailed weekly sales reports and data of pending, regretted and confirmed business, analysis of business trends, supply management with oral or written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, assist in developing all new sales activities and initiative to bridge revenue gaps.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Qualifications
  • High school/Vocational qualification or Diploma based on the role with minimum 5 years job related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 4 years job related experience.
  • Experience in selling OOH media in Qatar and/or Middle East markets.
  • Experience in managing short lead-times with multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Airport advertising experience will be a definite advantage.
  • Exposure to airport policies and processes.
  • Experience working with different areas in the airport environment.
  • Exposure to digital printing and artwork designing is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of achievements of targeted media sales per month/year.
  • Established strong relationship and rapport with network of media agencies in Qatar and GCC markets, and/or International markets.
  • Understanding the technicality of mesh media advertising and static displays.
  • Proven ability to establish quantifiable goals, as well as manage resources in order to successfully attain business line objectives.
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
  • Artwork design skills (Photoshop, lnDesign, Illustrator, etc.).
