Services_EMEA-E585Electro Mechanical Supervisor - Full Time - Doha, QatarJoin our Services_EMEA team within Services division in Qatar as Electro Mechanical Supervisor.Purpose of the job - to provide overhaul, repair, overhaul installation and commissioning services for motors, generators and ancillary equipment within Qatar.Your main tasks and responsibilities:Plan and organise required work with support from line manager and operations team.Identify the optimum approach to work execution and be fully capable to deliver hands-on technical awareness and demonstrate skills in trouble shooting for more complex activities where necessary.Communicating job progress updates internally and to clients effectively. Develop and maintain good internal and external communications and effective relationships with clients to optimise further service opportunities.Liaise with technical departments within Sulzer to develop engineering solutions.Support the Operations manager with customer technical clarifications in respect of any issues relating to agreed scopes of work.Be fully capable to demonstrate machine inspection and fault finding.Machine strip down with rotor removal and stator core removal.Coil burn out and stator repairs / core rebuilds.Winding of new coils into the stator, wedging and connecting.Core insertion, Rotor threading.Machine rebuilds and final inspections .Bearing inspection and measurements .Be able to carry out T&C checks, measuring shaft dimensions and creating basic drawings for required work.Onsite service / repair work and commissioning.Testing - Mega, PD, TD, HV, Interturn and Flux (All would be an advantage).Varnishing and VPI processes (Knowledge of).Strong understanding of Quality control, EHS / Risk assessments and method statements, COSHH control.Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including but not limited to winding machines, test panels, core loss testers, cut off saws, lathes, milling machines, burnout brazing units, dip tanks, VPI systems and various handheld power and non-power tools.Collaborate with relevant suppliers and subcontractors.Compilation of comprehensive reports in line with company quality management system.Ensure all work meets appropriate standards and quality control criteria.What you bring to Sulzer:Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship with valid certification.At least 10 years experience of HV & LV rotating electrical equipment (motors & generators).General repair of electrical equipment.Fault finding including RCA.Experience working on customer sites.Communication & relationship management skills.Customer service skills.Organisation and planning skills.Ability to act independently.Flexibility and adaptability.Attention to detail.Clear & thorough reports.General computer skills (MS office).We are looking forward to hearing from youSulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
