We are currently recruiting for Executive Head Chef (West Bay Beach Clubs) for one of the most dynamic and exciting leisure venues in Doha.

West Bay beach, under the management of Discover Qatar, comprises 3 absolute beachfront fully licensed venues;

  • Doha Sands, an exclusive and private beach club for in house guests staying at participating West Bay hotels
  • The Bistro; a fully licensed restaurant, open from 7am until midnight with a capacity of 200, serving light casual meals and also catering for special events, movie and sports event screenings and private groups.
  • B12 Beach Club, Qatar's largest private beach club featuring the largest inflatable in the country, a range of international food and beverage outlets, general admission and VIP sections, a resident DJ and popular weekend brunches.


As Executive Head Chef, you will have full control over the kitchen, planning & monitoring food production, task and processes, managing chefs on duty, training staff and scheduling to ensure highest food quality is maintained at all times for the West Bay Beach Clubs.


You are also required to organize, supervise, and coordinate the work of a large number of staff providing culinary services per excellence, working closely and interacting on a regular basis with General Manager and other Senior Managers of the organization.


  • Assist/coordinate with Chef de Cuisine to ensure consistent smooth running of food preparation and delivery.
  • Analyze and check every working place of cooks and Chefs, including storing areas, fridges and dust bins for any irregular food wastage in all production department.
  • Monitor and analyze production food standards in terms of quality and as per client specification.
  • Maintain and check meals to ensure they have been prepared as per the approved culinary guidelines.
  • Assist General Manager to set targets/goals for the internal sections/staff/Chefs and achieve targets.
  • Check and monitor the production plan with the team as per the specific section (Butchery/vegetables/ pre/hot kitchen/portioning/cold kitchen).
  • Coordinate kitchen activities with Operations Managers and General Manager to update them about revised production plan.
  • Monitor, participate and coordinate preparation of food in production area and estimate requirements according to the new menus (food products, equipment's and manpower requirement).
  • Provide training sessions related to production team about (cooking/food preparation/discipline/how to respect food product and deal with kitchen equipment's) as per scheduled approved by General Manager.
  • Coordinate with the chefs for planning and development of the entire menu for scheduled presentations and functions including unexpected events.
  • Monitor and check cycle changes along with Chef de Cuisine Conduct briefings for upcoming changes and necessary actions.
  • Coordinate with planning team for upcoming new cycle's requirements.
  • Conduct internal meal tasting with the Chef de Cuisine on weekly basis to evaluate the food standard.
  • Work closely with Chef de Cuisine to resolve any deviation on the standard expectation.
  • Assist Purchasing Admin with the budget of the kitchen in terms of equipment and staff.
  • Analyze the quality of product and service, customer satisfaction, merchandising and menu development.
  • Coordinate with maintenance about kitchen equipment's issues and set schedule to resolve it.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of jobrelated experience
  • International cooking experience
  • Strong knowledge of nouvelle cuisine, gourmet sauces, exhibition cooking, fine dining desserts, grade and highquality food preparation
  • Basic Food hygiene and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) Skills
  • Good Computer skills in MS Office.
