As an Assistant Executive Housekeeper, youwill be responsible for assisting with overseeing housekeepingoperations to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.

AnAssistant Executive Housekeeper will also be required to assist theExecutive Housekeeper/Housekeeping Manager and monitor standards.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the followingtasks to the highest standards:

  • Assist with overseeingHousekeeping/Laundry operations
  • Operate withindepartmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls andwell managed schedules
  • Support departmental targets andobjectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures
  • Ensure consistently high operating standards in everyarea of Housekeeping and Laundry, as identified by the hotel brandstandards
  • Perform routine inspections of allHousekeeping areas and report any issues to the ExecutiveHousekeeper
  • Implement, effectively, all Housekeepingpolicies and procedures including Health and Safety and security
  • Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance ofall Housekeeping Team Members with an emphasis on training and teamwork
  • Ensure team members have an up-to-date knowledge ofall room categories and amenities
  • Assist the ExecutiveHousekeeper to maintain good communication and work relationshipsin all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers
  • Ensure staffing levels cover business demands
  • Ensure ongoing training to support the Executive Housekeeper
  • Ensure communication meetings are conducted
  • Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policiesand procedures
  • Support managing, training and developingthe team
  • Deputise in absence of the ExecutiveHousekeeper
  • Provide excellent guest service

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain theattitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Housekeeping/laundry experience in the hotel/leisure/retail sectorin a managerial or supervisory capacity
  • A high schoolcertificate or equivalent
  • High level of commercialawareness and cost control capabilities
  • Proficiency, ata basic level, with computers and computer programs, includingMicrosoft Office
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal andcommunication skills
  • Committed to delivering high levelsof customer service
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Flexibility torespond to a range of different work situations
  • Knowledge of Workplace, Health, Safety and Hygiene is essential
  • Strong communication skills

  • Familiar with PropertyManagement Systems
  • Experience managing a department andProfit and Loss account
