Asan electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complexsystems. That knowledge is key when it comes to evaluating hardwaresecurity implementation in embedded electronics. We re looking foran electrical engineer who can use their skills to support lawenforcement by creating new forensic tools and investigativecapabilities.

Youll use your engineering skills to transform law enforcement. Ourteam builds digital forensics for investigators to recover userdata from electronic devices. That s why we need you, an electricalengineer, with an understanding of embedded system design, mobileplatforms and architecture, and hardware security concepts to helpus design and develop techniques for testing memory subsystems,security subsystems, and debugging interfaces on electronicdevices.

Onour team, you ll be part of a mission-oriented engineering groupchallenged to do the impossible and recover data that may beprotected or deleted. You ll impact criminal, counter-terrorism,and counter-intelligence investigations by applying failureanalysis, glitching, and side-channel analysis techniques toreverse engineer embedded systems. This is a chance to use yourrange of embedded systems development and test skills while gainingexperience in fault injection, failure analysis and reverseengineering.

Requirements
BASICQUALIFICATIONS
  • Applicantsselected will be subject to a security investigation and may needto meet eligibility requirements for access to classifiedinformation; TOP SECRET clearance isrequired.
  • 3+years of software development experience with C/C++ or python
  • 3+ yearsof experience with embedded systems development, including firmwaredevelopment, bare-metal programming, FPGA development, andJTAG
  • 1+year of experience with side-channel analysis techniques includingfault-injection, glitching, power analysis, and electromagneticinterference
  • 1+year of experience with using IDA Pro or Ghidra for reverseengineering
  • Bachelorsdegree in Electrical Engineering or ComputerEngineering

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledgeof cryptography
  • Knowledge of Flashmemory and RAM concepts
  • Knowledge ofsecure boot processes
  • Masters degreein Electrical Engineering or ComputerEngineering
