As Creative Design Manager youwill be responsible for developing cohesive and impactful designsolutions that enhances the customer experience and creativelystrengthen Qatar Airways brand image. These shall cover areas suchas cabin interiors uniforms look and feel lounges onboard diningand amenities user interfaces. Your role shall encompass therequirement to personally create design briefs product and executedesign solutions whilst also collaborate with internal and externaldesign agencies/suppliers and partners.

You shalldemonstrate multidisciplinary skillset that covers both packagingbranding interiors textiles and product/industrialdesign.

You will work with crossfunctional teamskey stakeholders within the airline and suppliers to understand therequirements and convert these to effective designsolutions.

Other keyresponsibilities are:
  • Creatingcohesive and impactful design aesthetic designs required as perproject requirements based on departmental and HODdirectives.
  • Understand and evaluate criticaloperational impacts and functionality of the product to developproduct specification and design briefdocuments.
  • Use cultural insights operationaldata and stakeholder feedback to develop viable designsolutions
  • Assess budgetary allocations onprojects handled
  • Manage dedicated designproject developments from conception to completion with mandatoryproduct testing phases with the user departments prior toimplementation. This includes but is not limited to; Cabininteriors uniforms look and feel lounges onboard dining andamenities user interfaces etc.
  • Manage specialproject plans and create best practice design processes to ensurecohesive and sound work practices that drives creativity whilstminimising development and production cost including responsibilityfor the final quality of creative work seeking approvals fromrelevant departments prior to rollout of the developedproduct.
  • Work with assigned designer allocatedby Line Manager on project basis
  • Ensurepositive collaboration to smooth out production hurdles by stayingin close contact with internal clientsteams.
  • Develop product specifications forspecial projects to verify that the development duringpreproduction is at as per definedquality.
  • Support and the design team as neededin the evaluation and testing of products in order to assessproduct feasibility and practicality.
  • Supportin tender document preparation by reviewing verifying and updatingthe specifications and other relevantdocuments
  • Conducts necessary cost analysis and/ or business case based on design proposals asneeded
  • Conduct all the necessary quality checkon final artwork before release tosuppliers
  • Able to do design / other relevantwork task as needed to supportoperations
  • Perform other department dutiesrelated to his/her position as directed by the Head of theDepartment

We are looking for a passionate andexperienced professional to join the Product Development and DesignTeam.

Essential:

  • Minimumqualification of bachelors degree or equivalent isessential.
  • 7 years of design of ProductDevelopment or similar field with emphasis on Customer Serviceswithin Product or Service development.
  • Advancedability to prioritize and manage multipleprojects

Preferred Airline / cabininterior designexperience
