Senior ERP Supply Chain Specialist

12 months - Fixed Term contract

Based:
Qatar

  • The role is to manage, implementation, supervise and support a specific SAP Procurement, Inventory, and Sales modules. This role requires basic management skills, consulting skills, vertical business knowledge at specific SAP area, and SAP solution expertise to effectively integrate SAP technology into Aljazeera business environment in order to achieve expected business results. This role extends to manage group of senior supply chain consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Consultant facilitates the implementation and support of MM/SD SAP sub modules to enhance Aljazeera business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.
  • Design, configuration and testing of MM/SD SAP as well as integration with other SAP Modules: FI/CO, FM SD and HCM
  • Analyze the current business processes and scenarios and recommend/develop solutions to meet Aljazeera needs.
  • Responsible primarily for successful implementation of SAP, providing functional expertise, guidance, presentation, and instruction on SAP products.
  • Carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved procedures.
  • Acts as liaison with Aljazeera team for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve software problems and map Aljazeera business requirements, processes and objectives; develop necessary product modifications to satisfy clients' needs.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the organization and adheres to all organizational standards.
  • Data migration activities including master & transactional data
  • Development / enhancements specifications (Z reports, smart forms, and user exists)
  • Prepare cutover strategy and conducting cutover detailed activities.
  • Maintenance of MM SAP System
  • Monitor and maintain system performance and accuracy of data processing
  • Resolve system issues by correcting data and/or modifying configurations/programs
  • Analyze / design / configure / test / communicate with users for minor enhancements.
  • Meet established SLA (Service Level Agreement.
  • New Project Implementation / Roll Out in MM area
  • Lead and manage small / medium scale projects
  • Plan and define scope, timeline, and resources for projects
  • Gather and document user requirements
  • Design and implement system
  • Build scenarios and perform test
  • Communicate daily maintenance issues and project status
  • Maintain thorough understanding of Aljazeera business functions, and utilize the knowledge to facilitate changes
  • Communication and reporting in Aljazeera
  • Document proper materials
  • Report project and maintenance status
  • Escalate critical system impacts/issues to management
  • Make independent decisions in:
  • Material Management system design and quality that do not impact other business process
  • Urgent system support
  • Make collaborative decisions in:
  • Changes impacting other systems
  • Project/request priority setup

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties relevant to the job as requested.
  • Participate and work with task force and special groups.
  • Prepare general reports relevant to the job and submit it to Head of Section
  • Coach and train new employees within the section

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Preferably in Finance / Accounting / Business Administration)
  • SAP certified in one of SAP modules e.g. FICO, MM. HCM, etc.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of SAP module(s) configuration and implementation experience.
  • Must have at least 2 full lifecycle SAP Implementation experience E2E (Project Preparation till Go-Live)
