Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct and repair walls, floors, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, or other masonry materials.
  • Interpret construction plans and blueprints to ensure accurate and precise work.
  • Utilize tools and techniques for decorative masonry work as required.
  • Perform restoration and preservation work on historical or aging structures, including cleaning, repointing, and repairing masonry elements.
  • Order and manage the inventory of masonry materials, ensuring an adequate supply for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Collaborate with procurement to source highquality materials at competitive prices.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to create a secure working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations related to masonry work.
  • Work closely with other members of the facilities team, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide input during the planning and design phases of construction projects.
  • Inspect and maintain masonry tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Report any equipment issues or malfunctions promptly.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a masonry apprenticeship or vocational training program.
  • Proven experience as a mason in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in working with various masonry materials, including bricks, concrete blocks, and stones.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and building codes related to masonry work.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift heavy materials and use manual and power tools.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physical agility and stamina.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional certifications in masonry or related fields.
  • Experience with specialized masonry techniques, such as tuckpointing or bricklaying.
  • Familiarity with sustainable and energyefficient building practices.

Salary:
From QAR2,300.00 per month
