FIRE PROTECTION & RESPONSE PLANNING

Primary purpose of job
Conduct the fire engineering design compliance review and provide required technical supports in all QatarEnergy assets in

RLC/Halul/MIC/DCA.

Conduct the Fire engineering plan compliance reviews of all QatarEnergy, Asset Operators and other commercial

establishments buildings in RLC/MIC/DCA as per Qatar Law # 25 and QatarEnergy requirements.

Coordinate with QatarEnergy Technical HSE/Engineering departments to ensure that fire engineering design is in line with

QatarEnergy standards, Shell DEPs, NFPA, etc. for QatarEnergy projects and for all tasks related to project life cycle

ranging from project initiation till close-out / hand over to fulfil the Fire Engineering discipline requirements.

Experience & Skills:

  • At least 10 years job experience in fire engineering in the field of oil & gas, petrochemical industries, and Civil & Industrial
type environments. (Preferably with 8-10 years with consulting/engineering firm).

  • Advanced knowledge of international fire protection codes & standards such as NFPA, EN, API, IP, Shell DEP, etc., and
best practices.

  • With regards to administration plan reviews, act in accordance with NFPA 1031 Plan Examiner.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills.

Education:

  • Degree in Science/Engineering or related technical discipline from an internationally recognised university. NFPA Certified
Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or Certified Fire Plan Examiner (CFPE) certification is preferred.
