MainResponsibilities

  • To directmanage and support the development implementation maintenance andadministration if all financial controls and accounting proceduresbased upon a maximization of internal control techniques consistentwith Group corporate management established policy and generallyaccepted accounting principles as adapted to the requirements ofthe hotels management contract and other local legalrequirements
  • To play an active role in themanagement of the hotel and to exercise a responsive attitude tothe needs of the General Manager and other members of the hotelmanagement team.
  • To ensure compliance to theterms and conditions of the hotels management contract withparticular regard to provisions relating to the companysresponsibilities as the managers and bringing any discrepancies tothe immediate attention of the General Manager and group corporatemanagement
  • To actively involved in the searchfor opportunities to improve the profitability of the hotel andencourage the preparation of exception reports and analyses to helpmeet and measure the success of thisobjective
  • To manage supervise and support allsubordinate employees with a view to optimizing the profitabilityof the hotel and improving the guestexperience
  • To initiate employee development andevaluation programs for all subordinate staff to ensure the highestlevel of professional competence and efficient continuity withinthose positions
  • To organize an efficienttreasury function to provide proper management of the hotelsworking capital and cash flow in accordance with Group corporatemanagement minimum guidelines and within the requirements of thehotels management contract. Also to ensure excessive investment isnot made in receivables or inventories and that sufficientliquidity is maintained to meet the hotelsobligations
  • To be responsible for the efficientoperation and maintenance of the hotels computerized dataprocessing function within the Group corporate managementestablishedguidelines

Requirements

  • Minimumof 3 years experience as Chief Accountant or Accounting Manager ina similar capacity in a hotel
  • Bachelors degreein Accounting or Finance
  • Knows how businesseswork; knowledgeable in current and possible future policiespractices trends technology
  • Excellentcommunication skills within the organization. Proactivecommunicator
  • High managerial skills to meet andfocus on deadlines planning resultsdriven andflexible.
  • Able to train and manage a team of 11people as well as to train other managers/supervisors on thejob
  • Excellent knowledge of various PMS POSPurchasing Payroll Accounting and Reporting Systems (preferablySpringer Miller System Infogenesis Moreton Bay Oasys SUN System andHyperion Planning)
  • Excellent knowledge ofMicrosoft Office mainly excel
