  • To plan and manage all activitiespertaining to financial accounting in Aspire Logistics to ensuretimely and accurate preparation of financial reports.
  • Develop financial accounting policies and procedures in order toensure consistency in departmental performance, in line withregulatory and statutory requirements and generally acceptedaccounting principles (GAAP) and International Financial ReportingStandards (IFRS).
  • Manage corporate financial accountingand perform analytical review of major income, expenses andexceptions in order to ensure that the monthly accounts are closedand submitted on a timely basis and management is provided withadequate financial data and analysis to make informed decisions
  • Prepare audit work plans, co-ordinate with auditors,manage the compliance of statutory audit requirements, review yearend audit schedules finalization for all balance sheet accounts andrelevant P&L accounts and discuss key audit issues in orderto provide opinions on audit matters and ensure the timelycompletion of audits on schedules.
  • Assist in theeffective achievement of functional objectives, setting individualobjectives, managing performance, developing, training andmotivating staff and providing formal and informal feedback andappraisal in order to maximize subordinate and unit performance andcontribute to overall business performance
  • Universitydegree in Accounting or related.
  • CPA / CA/ ACCA
  • 12 years of related experience of which a minimum of 4years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferablyin a similar Industry.
  • GAAP and IFRS
  • Automated financial and accounting reporting systems
