The Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) Lead shall provide Instrumentation and Control Commissioning oversight and direction to the projects main contractor and sub vendors.

Effectively collaborates and interface with Facilities Team and EPC contractor engineers and Operation personnel.

  • Provide coverage for multiple EPCs workshops, shop inspections and factory testing when and where required.
  • Support the various EPC PMTs for ICSS design, riskbased evaluation of complex technical issues, ensuring detailed design deliverables are compliant with project requirements, while meeting required Company quality expectations.
  • Provides ICSS and field Instrumentation engineering expertise.
  • Support coordinating the delivery of deliverables in accordance with project requirements from EPC Contractor.
  • Reports to Head of Commissioning

  • Regularly interfaces and collaborates with Compression Shared Engineering team and various EPC teams as needed. Frequent contact with Operations, IT department, HSEQ and Engineering within Company. External
  • Continuous interaction with EPC contractor and associated vendors, and subcontractors if requested. Infrequent engagement with Shareholder representatives. Interface on as needed.

About this role

  • Responsible for ensuring that the technical requirements of the safety measurement and control systems fully comply with project deliverables and standardized processes, all ICSS Networks complies with the ICSR requirement, and systems are delivered to the highest standards. Drive the EPC contractor and the MICC Supplier by providing clear guidance and facilitating resolution to issues to complete the MICC systems engineering activities, including interfaces with third party packages, interface with the Digital systems and interfacing with Company IT multiple disciplines (i.e., Network, Applications, Cyber, etc.).
  • Supports various EPC PMTs by reviewing critical documents and reports generated by the main contractor. Attend workshops/review meetings when requested.
  • Analyse technical proposals and proposed deviations, assess exceptions and new technologies to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain close liaison with Head of Commissioning and gains alignment on ICSS system engineering needs, objectives, and requirements.
  • Support the qualification of new suppliers proposed for the project, suppliers that are not on the approved vendor's list.
  • Assesses Contractor's manpower loading and provide timely recommendations to project team and be available to backfill needs as required.
  • Support the ICSS engineering team to stay on schedule to meet all critical milestones (LLI procurement, engineered equipment procurement; ROS dates, etc.); develops and stewards recovery plans to address any schedule delays.
  • Witnesses Contractors scope of work and signs off Test and Check sheets as per project requirements.
  • Verify that the EPC Contractor's reports are accurate with regards to progress reporting.
  • Corporate with review teams and take parts in quality audit activities throughout the project. Report findings accurately and provide plan to address issues.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, Advanced computer literacy.
  • Willing and able to travel as required.
  • Knowledge of worldwide vendors and contractors.
  • Good communication and influencing skills.
  • Minimum of 10 years industry experience at a senior level as determined by the interviewer or Bachelors' Degree in discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years relevant experience, 5 years as a Lead Engineer with overall responsibility for engineering execution of large onshore and offshore projects. Broad and extensive knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, appropriate safety criteria, offshore facilities and electrical design, construction, operations, and engineering administration.
  • Manager or a Leadership role for major projects.
