About the role


As a Senior Mobile App Product Owner Officer, you will be responsible to lead the digital product pod to ensure regular release of value-driving product enhancements and fixes in order to support revenue growth and other objectives, in line with digital product priorities and standards.

Ensure all pod members understand their role, contribution and that they are equipped and able to deliver.

Other key responsibilities are:

  • Plan and lead product pod sprints focusing on quality and delivery understand the Mobile App product roadmap and priorities, as well as objectives and expected impact of new features.
  • Define sprint scope based on backlog, priorities and capacity. Liaise pod activities around feature release at the end of the sprint including signoff and initial monitoring to ensure release performance is in line with expectations.
  • Ensure roles and contribution for each pod member is clear by establishing, communicating and maintaining team guidelines.
  • Organize sessions to establish Mobile specific UX, UI, backend deliverables for sprint. Identify risks, issues and technical challenges by encouraging the team to proactively report these, and remove blockers or pull in additional support to do so.
  • Ensure delivery is in line with Mobile standards and expectations by conducting UX review/feedback and demo sessions.
  • Conduct sprint retrospective sessions with the product pod after each sprint in order to allow pod members to review sprint activities and deliveries.
  • Implement changes to product pod processes based on team feedback from retrospective sessions to improve team efficiency and remove friction.
  • Conduct daily standups to review progress and ensure delivery on schedule, keep stakeholders updated sprint progress and health.
  • Establish team velocity by reviewing sprint performance and activities. Participate in refinement sessions to trim, clean and update the product backlog.

Qualifications

About You

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the Digital Commerce & Service Experiences Team.

  • Minimum qualification of bachelor's degree or equivalent is essential.
  • 4+ years of jobrelated experience
  • Experience in estimating work size and complexity.
  • Experience in leading design and development and implementations in 1 or more mobile technology software platforms: iOS (Apple), Android (Google), (Windows Phone).
  • Proven track record of efficiently prioritizing complex changes and issues.
  • Previous experience in managing mobile app delivery preferably in the travel industry.
  • Formal training and certification on airline reservation systems.
  • Understanding and experience in agile product development.
  • Good understanding of all aspects of mobile development such as customer experience, UI/UX design, engineering, analytics
