IT Infrastructure Supervisor - (network, communications & hardware)

Role


Manage the organizations' IT infrastructure and network activities and ensure all required systems for the users are available to be utilized on a uninterrupted basis and all processing is carried out in a secure and professional manner as per the company's IT security policy.


Duties & Responsibilities

IT Infra & Operations_

  • IT Infrastructure and Operations Management
  • Oversee IT infrastructure deliverables and other operational functions (i.e. System, Network, Database, etc.) in order to achieve established quality standards and ensure user requirements are met.
  • Manage and guide the IT systems administration team in the provision of optimum infrastructure operations and support deployment in order to facilitate business operations.
  • Manage all major systems, networks and hardware are operated and maintained cost effectively, and that service level standards are met according to the defined user and business needs.
  • Facilitate the development of the process to consult and communicate with users to determine and clarify their current and future operational business needs and ensure all users' requests are fully documented to the required standards.
  • Ensure that required training and documentation are provided for the staff on received updates, enhancement and fixes including the newly implemented projects.

Network Management_

  • Manage the IT Networks team in order to ensure effective provision of IT network support services as per the defined SLAs to fulfil user requirements.
  • Manage the support of network infrastructure in order to provide optimum network availability and support services in order to facilitate smooth functioning of the business processes.
  • Ensure monitoring of various aspects of network connectivity, servers and telephone systems in order to ensure smooth operation and to rectify any problems or incorrect usage in order to ensure continuous network availability.
  • Participate and test the efficiency of disaster recovery procedures with respect to networks in coordination with the IT Security and Governance so that they can be reinstated in a timely and integral manner without any loss of data in the event of a disaster scenario.
  • Ensuring that all network and telecommunications equipment are maintained in proper working order.
  • Troubleshoot and provide support for network and telecommunications related incident/problems.
  • Assist in configuration and associated changes on all network and telecommunications.
  • Coordinates the technical issues with third parties and suppliers according to maintenance and support contract terms and conditions.
  • Monitor the processes and procedures for network and telecommunications performance monitoring.
  • Update the documentation and network diagrams received from the implementation as required.
  • Provides recommendations with regards to expansion, upgrade or deployment of new LANs WANs and Wireless Network technologies.
  • Operates and maintains security controls for all network and telecommunications devices as per security recommendations.
  • Maintains software and hardware registration and inventory to provide upgrades as necessary and ensure appropriate records are maintained.
  • Administer the additions to and changes in network and telecommunications resources as required to support both strategic and business unit plans.
  • Assist in the restoration of service and data as a result of system failures whether local or remote.
  • Provides the required technical support for ATMs roll out and maintenance.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 5 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.
  • Experience in the banking sector is preferred.

Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical):

  • Detailed understanding and knowledge of IT infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of the banking sector in Qatar and the region. (preferred)
  • Knowledge of latest IT developments and trends.
  • Knowledge in system integration and administration.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • People management skills.
  • Planning and organizing skills.
  • Arabic and English speaking preferred.

Pay:
QAR18, QAR20,000.00 per month
