About the role

As Senior Sales Assistant you will maximizesales at every available opportunity while ensuring that customersreceive the highest level of service. Ensures that the store isfully merchandised according to the Brand layout and VisualMerchandising standards to maximize the selling opportunity.Embrace and follow on a daily basis the Brand experience during allinteractions. Handles highvalue merchandise and ensures allSecurity policies are followed as per highvalue stock handlingprocess.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Maximize sales in assigned Storeat every possible opportunity while ensuring that customers receivethe highest level of service.
  • Ensure thatthe boutique is fully merchandised according to the Brand layoutand visual merchandising standards to maximize the sellingopportunity.
  • Embrace and follow on a dailybasis the Brand experience during all interactions.
  • Handle merchandise and ensure all Security policies arefollowed as per high value stock handling process.

Deliver a personalized and elevatedexperience with commercial success while representing the brand inan elegant and hospitable way. Deliver a consistent level ofcustomer service to always score higher marks on mystery shopresults conducted by Brands and QDFC as a 5star shoppingdestination. Adhere to Brand guidelines in terms of the sellingceremony to be at par with global standards set out as per the DNAof the Brand. Build longterm relationships with customers tomaximize return customers through consistent service excellence andprovide exceptional aftersales service as per luxury Brandguidelines. Acknowledge and approach customers establish customerneeds by asking openended questions. Introduce customers to otherBrands or departments after serving their needs ensuring they leavethe Boutique and DutyFree shop feeling that they have been treatedin a friendly and courteous manner. Maintain standards of the Brandby keeping the merchandise and surrounding area clean and tidy.Store the merchandise in a proper manner as to avoid breakage ordamage. Ensure the merchandise is displayed to the highest VisualMerchandising (VM) standards as per the Brand guidelines to beattractive and pleasing to customers which aids in the sellingprocess. Maintain the highest level of accuracy when checking andcounting the highvalue items. Maintain the highest level ofinventory control on a daily basis. Notify Brand Manager / QDFSecurity of any discrepancies immediately. Ensure the highest levelof precision during quarterly stock takes. Ensure the highest levelof confidentiality with regard to all company documentationinformation and statistics. Ensure that a high degree of securityon stock and cash prevails at all times. Ensure that Supervisor/Brand Manager/ QDF Security is immediately notified of any breachof security as per the Security SOP for Brands and Boutiques.Ensure the awareness of the HOT SPOT of TheftProne Areas. Whenshowing items be prepared with display pads/ trays cleaning clothpens calculator and any other tools to avoid the need to step away.Pay attention to each customer and to each piece of item beingshown. Ensure the float is correct and that all keyed informationinto the POS terminal is done so accurately. Process customerstransactions efficiently and must present the receipts at all timesto customers. Handle money/ Travelers Cheques/ Credit Cards and anyother form of payment in a safe secure and responsible manner.Responsible for the cash variances at the end of the shift.

Qualifications

About you

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications andskills:

  • Relevant College orUniversity qualification to min Bachelors degree
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • Previous Retail and Customer Service experience

OR

  • Relevant Vocational Tertiary or Trade qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience
  • Previous Retail and Customer Serviceexperience

  • Demonstrate excellence in sellingstyling and wardrobing skills
  • Demonstratecreativity in generating new business in the role
  • Effective English communication both written and spoken
  • Strong customer service and interpersonalskills
  • Brand specific Sales TrainingMerchandising Training along with product knowledge training on anongoing and continuous basis
  • Proactiveapproach to selling
  • Follow personal hygieneand grooming standards as set out by QDF and the Brand
  • Behave in a polite and professional manner while on dutyand show the highest regards for all our customers at all times
