The opportunity:
We are looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic English Teacher, to provide Maternity Cover starting in August 2024.
The contract end date is yet to be determined but is likely to cover the entire Autumn term of the academic year.
The English Faculty is a large team who deliver a balanced English programme at Key Stage 3 in line with the English National Curriculum, tailored to meet the needs of our international student body.
The English department also offers a wide range of co-curricular opportunities including COBIS writing competitions, an annual Poetry Evening, and involvement with other schools - locally and globally - in essay writing, speech making and debating events.
In addition, we also produce the 'Majlis' - the school 'magazine' created 'by the students, for the students' which has recently moved to an online platform.
About you:
We are a British international school, and all our lessons are taught in English. A high standard of written and spoken English is, therefore, essential.
