As a Product Branding Specialistyou will be responsible for transforming design solutions intotangible assets that align with brand strategies and businessobjectives. Product Branding Specialist will be responsible formaking informed decisions overseeing assigned projects andproviding guidance to junior designers. Attention to detail is acrucial factor in managing all stages of design development andproduction from inception to completion. Product BrandingSpecialist will be responsible for creating visually captivatingdesign creatives and product designs across different designplatforms. This will involve utilising software tools andhandrendering to develop products that embody the corporateidentity and brand image of QatarAirways.

  • Take brief from SeniorBranding Specialist with establishing a vision for the product ordesign in various field of design; Branding development onboard andlounges soft product development print and packaging collateralsindustrial and environmental design creating a visualrepresentation of ideas and concepts representing Qatar Airwaysbrand value.
  • Maintain awareness of currentbrand design and trends influences in the market as well asunderstanding competitor airlines proposition tobenchmark.
  • Develop concepts graphics andlayouts for product illustration company logos and websitesensuring that the Brand and design fundamentals are preserved alongwith being creative.
  • Develop bespoke productdesigns such as chinaware glassware linen blankets and all otherdeemed as soft products for onboard andlounges
  • Work with Equipment Development team toprepare and execute tenders for products being developed intoactual tangible product line required
  • Under theguidance of the Line Managers prepare prototypes using specialistcomputer softwares and CAD: computeraided design technology toillustrate concept by designing rough layout of art and copyregarding arrangement size typography size and style and relatedaesthetic concepts for multiple design requirements such as softproduct range packaging to print collaterals Qatar Airways andsubsidiaries on special requests.
  • Collaboratewith relevant stakeholders on design projects and requirements toenable a blend of design ideas that seamlessly flow with theconcepts of the lounge / aircraft interiors and inflight being trueto the Qatar Airways brand in terms of colours style andprojection.
  • Liaise with other stakeholderdepartments and vendors printers suppliers and techniques to fitthe design best / effective solution and within the setbudget.
  • Define Project requirements such asproject timelines schedules type of media and quantity ofdeliverables pertaining to scheduledassignment.
  • Attend meetings with the Managementand Design team to understand and assemble initial ideas for theproject. Provide suggestions to relevant teams about effectiveproduct design solution options
  • Preparing andproofreading proposals to the Line Manager and Senior Management toreceive approvals and feedback on the amendments to be made beforefinalising art work to be printed.
  • Coordinatework flow with the design team and equipment development teammembers in order to assist in the initiation of design elements forrelevant areas.
  • Provide progress reports on allprojects and deliver samples to be used for reviews and proposalsto the Management.
  • Perform other departmentduties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of theDepartment

Qualifications

We are looking for a passionate andexperienced professional to join the Product Development and DesignTeam.

  • Minimum qualification ofbachelors degree or equivalent is essential.
  • 4years of job related experience
  • Previousexperience working as a senior designer or equivalent in a designcompany.
  • Worked and developed branding identitybased on their work with other design companies andagencies.
  • Have extensive knowledge withproduction specification andprocess.
  • Proficient in final artworkdevelopment.
  • Work experience in other field ofdesign such as product development environmental graphics interiordesign etc
  • High proficiency in Graphic Designsoftware i.e. Photoshop IllustratorInDesign.
  • Must be proactive and have very goodattention to detail.
  • Have very good written andverbal communication skills.
  • Well versed withMicrosoft Officesoftware.
