Job Title(Senior) Digital Learning Researchand Assessment SpecialistLocationDoha,QADepartment NameDigitalLearning and Online Education Office (DLOE)College/DepartmentProfileWorking collaboratively with DLOE's strategicteam, the Senior Digital Learning Research and AssessmentSpecialist supports and advocate QU/DLOE's assessmentgoals, objectives and initiatives by carrying out a wide range ofqualitative and quantitative research, monitoring and evaluation oflearning activities; planning, coordinating, and development ofinstitutional assessment programs; identifying data collectionneeds, managing data collection activities, and translatingresearch or evaluation results into actions.

The position alsoserves as the primary point of contact for faculty and staff acrossthe university regarding day-to-day matters related to assessment,providing guidance and informational presentations regardinginstitutional assessment activities.

The candidate maintainsdigital repositories monitors document submissions, evaluatesprogram quality, analyzes data and participates in the submissionof official assessment reports to relevant stakeholders.

Duties& Responsibilities1.

Plan, develop, coordinate andimplement assessment activities across the institution; performdirect assessment and assessment analysis; provide technical andprofessional guidance, consultation and support to departmentsregarding assessment plans, as appropriate.

2. Design and applymonitoring and evaluation tools and practices. 3.

Definesignificant research and evaluation questions and support thedesign and implementation of quantitative and qualitative researchmethods such as surveys, case studies, key informant interviews andlead discussions through design of data collection tools andtraining data collectors.

4. Develop, plan, lead, and/orparticipate in educational, training and outreach activities,including program development and coordination of assessmentrelated informational sessions. 5. Interpret assessment findings;analyze and comply comprehensive statistical and narrative data;and assist with the preparation of official assessment reports.

6.Data stewardship and dissemination including all activitiesrequired to ensure that digital research data are findable,accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR) in the long term.

7.Participate in the preparation of institutional accreditationreporting, if and when required. 8.

Contribute to clear,compelling, and methodologically robust reports, journal articles,policy briefs, presentations and other ways of making research,monitoring, and evaluation results available and accessible touniversity audience.

9. Assist faculty and staff with thepreparation and submission of assessment forms and reports. 10.Support in the implementation and updates of DLOE strategic plan.11. Collects and documents all the necessary data for reportingpurposes. 12.

Perform other tasks and duties that may beoccasionally required in order to meet the requirements of the roleand the aims of the University.

13. Ensure confidentiality ofinformation at all times.

1. Establishand maintain cooperative working relationships with staff,organizational members, and external bodies, as needed. 2.Demonstrate sensitivity in working with students and staff byshowing respect for differences and the dignity ofothers.

QualificationsMinimum:
● PhD degree in computer science,data science, information management, information systems,educational technologies or relevant field

●Post-graduate diplomas or certificates in relevant fields
