About the role

A Software Engineering Manager having sound knowledge in Scrum methodology

As a Scrum Master (SM) you will serve as the "servant leader" for scrum teams and responsible for creating an environment that enables a team to flourish as a high performing Scrum team.

You would have to be people focused and serve as a facilitator, process coach, mentor, trainer, impediments remover and hold a "mirror" to the team

Your Responsibilities

  • Demonstrating the values of "Servant Leadership" to serve the teams and organization to improve continuously to deliver value outcome
  • Living and helping others to live the values and principles of agile manifesto, encourage teams to embrace Scrum values.
  • Crafting an environment of transparency, experiment and growth mindset that promotes a culture of continuous improvement, empower teams to selforganize and grow crossfunctionally.
  • Understanding and being able to explain the "why" behind any Scrum process and be a change agent for teams and organization.
  • Help Product owner, stakeholders in crafting the strong product vision, roadmap and sprint goal to rally the team towards sense of Purpose, Autonomy and Mastery.
  • Facilitate effectiveness of all Scrum events and techniques including selforganization, estimation and emerging planning.
  • Help team to keep events within the Time box and drive the conversation to help team achieve intended outcomes
  • Clearly communicating and escalating impediments to Agility teams and leadership.
  • Ensure heathy communication and protect teams from interruptions and distractions to maximize productivity. Encourage implementing Scrum process for further improvement of teams, organization
  • Project Management: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects and solutions. EMs must ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Team Management: Manage the daytoday operations of the engineering team. In addition, EMs are expected to hire, train, and mentor team members to encourage high productivity and engagement. EMs monitor the performance of the overall team and its individual team members to provide feedback.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of the various technologies, tools, and methodologies used in their field of work.

Work with various stakeholders, including product management, marketing, and operations to ensure that engineering activities are aligned with broader organizational goals

  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage any risks associated with engineering projects (including but not limited to cost and safety).
  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, tools, and trends. This skill is useful for identifying new technologies that can be implemented to optimize engineering processes.
  • Strategic Planning: Set clear goals and priorities for the engineering team while effectively allocating resources and managing deadlines. Analyze data and use insights to make informed decisions.

Qualifications

About you:
Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
  • More than 3 years of experience in Agile frameworks Scrum, Kanban, XP or Lean Agile.
  • Any of the agile certification would be a plus
  • Expertise in area(s) of programming languages, data modelling, interfaces design, database design, nonfunctional requirements analysis and design.
  • Expertise in software design/modelling using techniques like Domain Driven Design.
  • Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Software Quality Assurance processes.
  • Ability to conduct research and adopt emerging technologies and software development tools.
  • Should have experience in Micro service Architecture, Messaging and Cloud computing methodologies.
  • Must have good analytical and problemsolving skills and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
  • Ability to lead a diverse group of project stakeholders and members towards successful delivery of a project.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Minimum 6 years of hands on experience with extensive use of technologies like in.
