Extent by which the job is constrained by policy / procedure / instruction:

  • All tasks shall adhere to COMPANY HSE policies, procedures and CMS. In particular, the well integrity is constrained by well barriers and API strict standards. More generally, the position requires that any health, safety and environmental risks are assessed, and necessary measures taken to mitigate safety and health risks according to the ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practical) principle.
  • Responsible for ensuring the appropriate level of Well Integrity training and education for personnel that have any requirement to interface with wells.
  • Job characterization, stakes and the scale of human, financial, material or other resources:
  • Wells scope data: Overview 450 wells spread over 18 wellhead platforms. A mix of gas lifted oil producer wells, water injection wells, smart completions, water alternating gas injection wells, gas injection wells and water disposal wells
  • Outside Stakeholders: Interfacing with various departments including Drilling, Subsurface, Field Operations, Offshore OIM's; OTL's; Production Supervisor's; HSE and Well Performance

About this role

  • Monitor, analyze and propose solutions regarding the integrity of all ALS wells
  • Responsible for ensuring that any well related derogations are thoroughly analyzed prior to submission for approval in the CMS system.
  • Responsible for ensuring that COMPANY has in place a fit for purpose well integrity model (and associated) software for monitoring and keeping track of Well Integrity issues.
  • Ensure training courses and/or training material are provided to all personnel that require a level of well integrity competence.
  • Ensure that the day to day well integrity surveillance systems and processes are functioning.
  • Validates any technical programs of WS &WHM that have a specific well integrity content
  • Drives technological innovations or processes improvements for all aspects of well integrity
  • Ensure onsite technical assistance is available to Field Ops and Well Intervention team for technical integrity problems.
  • Lead Operational Risk Assessments and ensure DGS forms are completed for all well related failures.
  • Provide any well related safety critical element (SCE) reliability numbers.
  • Perform well integrity related calculations; MAASP, tubing leak rate, remaining burst/collapse etc. Participates in the creation and validation of procedures and other CMS documents related to own Well Integrity activity.
  • Monitors & analyses well integrity KPIs and dashboards to optimize activity.
  • Prepares well integrity input for regular and adhoc meetings/presentations both for internal and external stakeholders.

What you need to bring

  • Number of years of relevant experience: 20 yrs in Oilfield with minimum 5 years well integrity specialization.
  • Offshore exposure 3yr minimum
  • Technical, personal and / or linguistic competencies: fluent English compulsory, Good communication skills
  • Professional or HSE certifications: IWCF level 4(Well Intervention or Drilling)
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of well integrity, including management systems, well integrity related software's, well failure model, API relevant rules, annulus management, corrosion management/control, tubing + casing integrity and leak detection surveys and etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of well integrity industry standards and best practices.
  • Extensive understanding of well integrity management systems.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and evaluations.
  • Ability to evaluate well integrity issue, risk assessment, risk ranking and mitigation planning.
  • Fully autonomous.
  • Knowledge of wells (drilling, completion, Csg and cementing), well Intervention, wellhead maintenance, drilling and completions and workovers equipment.
  • Knowledge of well performance, production operations, and reservoir engineering.
  • Level and type of initial higher education: Mechanical Engineering degree or equiv.
