Job Purpose:

  • Provide emergency treatment, primary level clinical and nursing care for routine cases for patients.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s):

  • The role required (1) handle sensitive issues associated with health care needs and possibly disputes; (2) promote confidence and trust in the standard of medical care available in a range of circumstances including emergencies; (3) keep up to date with all medical changes and actively participate in all for the health promotion programs; (4) participate in regular internal, government and other external audits.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Undertake clinical tasks under supervision including measuring basic parameters, providing injections, conducting consultations and providing routine care.
  • Assist in the transfer of patients requiring hospitalization or shorebased treatment.
  • Compile and maintain patient records ensuring accurate and complete histories.
  • Maintain current and costeffective levels of medical supplies to ensure ready availability.
  • Establish effective infection control through the proper body isolation processes, the disposal of clinical waste products and sharps.
  • Conduct evaluation of the work environment to determine the hygiene status and take appropriate corrective action to address anomalies.
  • Maintain optimal house cleaning standards and ensure all equipment is fully maintained and operational.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Knowledge and/or Experience:

  • 4 years' experience in either industrial or community nursing and must be licensed to practice nursing in home country.
