About the role:

Duty Manager manages the daily operation of the designated shop efficiently to achieve sales through excellent guest service and ensure the security of stocks and cash in line with company policy of Qatar Duty Free. Responsibilities include:

  • Communicate shop sales targets to sales assistants and supervisors effectively, ensuring all staff are aware of the targets and motivated to drive results.
  • Achieve daily shop sales targets through staff deployment and stock management.
  • Coordinate with the merchandising team to order necessary stock for operational efficiency and meeting sales targets.
  • Understand customer requirements by establishing rapport with actual and potential customers.
  • Manage team service delivery to ensure excellent customer service is provided to all guests at HIA, reinforcing the GUEST model within the shop.

Qualifications

About You:

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Basic financial knowledge of cash handling, banking, and budget management.
  • Proficient in Word/Excel, with a working knowledge of retail IT systems.

Previous Experience:

Essential

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years in Retail or Service Industry.
  • Operational understanding of Retail Environment, with familiarity in Airports and Service Industry as an advantage.
