Role and Responsibilities

We are in search of a Junior Finance Analyst to be part of our agile team in the Middle East region. This position will be based in Doha, where you will mainly support our operations in Qatar and assist in the growth of other Middle East branches.
As a key player, you will act as a business partner to the Middle East Finance Manager and engage regularly with CAE International teams. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals with proactive thinking and a willingness to enhance skills across various finance areas.

Key Tasks
  • Participate in the month-end close process in Oracle R12, HFM
  • Offer accounting analysis support to business units on diverse accounting issues
  • Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow variance analysis
  • Collaborate with different groups (Tax, Treasury, internal audit, corporate) to address ad hoc inquiries
  • Advise on new or changing business transactions to ensure correct accounting treatment aligned with global standards
  • Ensure adherence to standard processes and policies, and accurate recording of all transactions
  • Contribute to special projects in coordination with other teams
  • Assist in financial forecasting and performance analysis for ME subregion
  • Participate in setting up the annual budget
  • Create and maintain financial models, identify risks, and communicate opportunities related to forecasts
  • Prepare various financial reports and presentations for senior management
  • Maintain financial forecasts, reports, and KPI tracking
  • Assist in local tax returns preparation
  • Any other tasks or duties assigned by the Finance Manager
Qualifications and experience
  • The ideal candidate should possess a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA or CIMA) and preferably have 1 to 3 years' experience in a financial analyst role
  • Experience in preparing accurate monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • Proficiency in managing the month-end close process in Oracle R12, HFM
  • Strong expertise in management and finance
  • Ability to implement best practices in a growing business
  • Effective communication with senior management
  • Capability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks
  • Understanding of complex accounting and financial issues, providing recommendations to both corporate and local management
  • Knowledge of Middle East culture and specifics is advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, Project)
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Fluency in English
