Electrical Technician – Diesel Generators
Location: Doha, Qatar.
Years of Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience.
Working Arrangement:on-site.
Language Requirements:Fluency in English (written and spoken).
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician – Diesel Generators to support the maintenance and troubleshooting of diesel generator systems. The role requires hands‑on experience with leading generator brands and strong technical knowledge of generator electrical components, control panels, controllers, and associated wiring systems.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in diesel generator maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Hands‑on experience working with diesel generator brands such as Cummins, Caterpillar, SDMO, Perkins, and other leading manufacturers.
- Experience working with:
- Alternators
- ATS/AMF panels
- Generator controllers
- Battery chargers
- Electrical wiring
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- ITI or Diploma in Electrical.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of DSE, ComAp, PowerCommand, or SmartGen controllers.
- Previous experience working in the GCC.
- Valid driving license.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of diesel generator systems.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults affecting generator operation.
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot alternators, ATS/AMF panels, controllers, battery chargers, and electrical wiring.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities on generators from Cummins, Caterpillar, SDMO, Perkins, and other manufacturers.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams during maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- Work with generator control systems and controllers, including DSE, ComAp, PowerCommand, and SmartGen, where applicable.
- Support the reliable operation of diesel generator electrical systems through appropriate maintenance and fault diagnosis.
