As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Cargo's Data Analytics Team in Doha as Manager Cargo Data Analytics.

About the role

In this role, you will oversee all aspects of data analysis, management, and governance for our airline's Cargo data and analytics team, driving the development of advanced analytics solutions and implementing data-driven insights across the organization.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage a team of managers, data analysts, and engineers to design, develop, and implement advanced analytics solutions.
  • Ensure development and implementation of data management, governance, and quality standards across the organization.
  • Oversee the implementation of ETL processes, data models, and data pipelines to ensure data is clean, accurate, and available.
  • Lead the design and development of new analytical capabilities and models and enhance existing ones.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure the team is up-to-date with the latest analytical and data management techniques.
  • Implement effective training programs targeting the whole commercial departments to upgrade analytical and technical skills.
  • Manage security access and licenses for visualization tools in coordination with IT to ensure proper data access in line with company security standards.

Qualifications

About you

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in data analysis, with 3+ years in a management role.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills with solid knowledge of analytic techniques and business analysis concepts.
  • Knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills with strong negotiation, presentation, and influencing capabilities.
  • Leadership and strategic thinking capabilities, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional and multi-cultural teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
