We are actively seeking to appoint an experienced Director of Operations to join our leading Sports Facilities Management company based in Doha, Qatar.
Please do not apply if you do NOT meet the essential criteria for this role.

Responsibilities:
  1. Leading the project and in charge of overall Facility Operations, Hard and Soft services.
  2. Ensure the KPIs of the contract are met at a minimum.
  3. To deliver high quality, prompt, and courteous Facilities Management services in support of customers' business needs in a safe working environment.
  4. To liaise with the customer's representative regarding all matters outside of agreed delegated levels of authority.
  5. To provide training, management, and guidance to directly employed staff in accordance with the contract and work within the guidelines of the client's and company's.
  6. Lead and oversee the Operations team to manage daily facilities operations including building operation team, security services, Housekeeping, Landscaping, Pest Control, Turf Management, System optimization, project implementation, and building utility support to ensure smooth and safe operation of the building facility.
  7. Support the implementation of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) related activities and programs.
  8. To maintain and ensure the building and infrastructures are compliant with specifications and standards.
  9. Managing, planning, budgeting, and financial management related to building operation and maintenance.
  10. Constant review and update of manpower needs for the Operations.
  11. To meet KPI requirements set by management.
  12. Management of staff, vendors, and supplies.
  13. Ensure that daily information is updated on the CAFM system.
  14. Successful completion of scheduled activities. Prompt and courteous response to customer requests.
  15. Maintenance and update of the management budget, equipment, and materials.
  16. Conduct regular service and systems audit.
  17. Guide and upgrade staff technical and management competency.
  18. Prepare site standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  19. Generate, collate, and submission of monthly reports.
  20. Oversee the submission of claims.
  21. Conduct and review plant operation, emergency plan, and contingency plan.
  22. Conduct daily operation pass-down meetings and update staff on major works, project activities, or organization goals as required.
  23. Manage expenditure against budget in coordination with the commercial team.
  24. Training and development of staff.
  25. Provide effective technical advice and solutions to clients.
  26. Introduce continued improvement and optimization operation of Facility systems.
  27. Enforce and adopt safety measures among all of his subordinates.
  28. To assist in the planning, coordinating, and controlling all operational activities in accordance with pre-arranged operating plans and programs.
  29. Assist in the operational execution according to the Contract Documents.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. B.Sc. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, HVAC).
  2. Additional business-related qualifications would be advantageous.
  3. Minimum of 20 years working experience with at least 15 years in a direct Facilities Management role.
  4. Experience working for a regionally recognised Facilities Management agent is a MUST.
  5. Strong leadership skills.
  6. Solid Contracts management capabilities.
  7. Interpersonal, initiative, analytical thinking, decision-making, and leadership abilities.
  8. Perfect command of spoken and written English.
  9. Good knowledge of ISO standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 45001.
