Key Responsibilities
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance on field instruments.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system failures.
- Repair and replace defective instruments and control components.
- Maintain calibration records and maintenance reports.
Instrumentation Work
- Install, calibrate, and test:
- Pressure transmitters
- Flow meters
- Level transmitters
- Temperature instruments
- Conductivity analyzers
- pH analyzers
- Chlorine analyzers
- Turbidity analyzers
- Perform loop checking and signal verification.
Control & Automation Systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, RTU, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and control panels.
- Assist in commissioning and startup activities.
- Support control valve testing, tuning, and maintenance.
- Diagnose communication and network-related control issues.
Qualification Requirements
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in:
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Automation Technology
- Additional certifications in PLC/SCADA or instrumentation are advantageous.
I&C Technician's Key Skills:
- Knowledge of PROFIBUS communication protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with PROFIBUS-based process instrumentation, including pressure transmitters, level transmitters, differential pressure transmitters, and electromagnetic flowmeters (EMF).
- Knowledge of Festo panels, Siemens PLCs, and Yokogawa CENTUM VP DCS.
- Hands-on experience with diagnostic and calibration tools, including ProfiTrace devices, pressure calibrators, and deadweight testers.
- Working experience with analyzer instrumentation, such as chlorine, pH, ORP, hardness, and conductivity analyzers. Ability to read and interpret control wiring diagrams, I/O lists, and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
- Experience in RO (Reverse Osmosis) systems is optional but will be considered an added advantage.
