Your Commitment

Reporting to the Academic Manager, Program Development and Academic (PDA), the successful candidate will document the development, approval and management of course and program offerings, and handle the technical aspects of the curriculum management system.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. The successful candidate will liaise with external vendors, the Information Technology Directorate and the Admissions and Registration Directorate in the development and maintenance of University curriculum management system standards.
  2. This will include liaising with subject matter experts from other Business Units for the development, capture, and refinement of program and course curriculum information.
  3. The successful candidate will plan, manage, track, and maintain the University's curriculum management system data and workflows, to ensure easy access to current, accurate data and a tracked development process for all courses and programs.
  4. He/she will collaborate, establish, and communicate curriculum management business rules for learning outcomes assessment processes and associated data collection and reporting.
  5. The successful candidate will support the Academic Manager, Program Development and Accreditation in the review, planning, and implementation of course and program curriculum development for new and existing credit and non-credit programs offered at the institution.
  6. The successful candidate will assist in the planning, development and maintenance of accreditation data and reports to ensure programs, courses, and Colleges meet their accreditation benchmarks and deadlines.
  7. The successful candidate will collaborate with other stakeholders to resolve curriculum management issues and concerns, including the interpretation of policies to mediate complex issues, and evaluate and recommend process improvements.
  8. The successful candidate will identify and evaluate data needs and summarize data from multiple sources, to prepare and manage reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  9. He/she will develop and provide curriculum management system training on the recording of data and workflow set ups for Colleges and other stakeholders.
  10. The successful candidate will maintain familiarity with University admissions policies, program requirements, and procedures to ensure curriculum changes are in line with requirements.
  11. In addition, support in the development and implementation of procedures, processes, and guidelines governing the Program Development and Accreditation Department.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

  • Master's degree in Business, Higher Education, IT or relevant field is required.
  • Relevant teaching and/or educational certifications are preferred.
  • IELTS score of 7 and above is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience out of which 4 years are in the higher education sector.
  • Familiarity with current University curriculum related policies and procedures is preferred.
  • Experience with Program Development and/or Curriculum Management is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills is required; project management expertise is desirable.

Language:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English language is required.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language is preferred.

Other Required Skills

  • Self-development, analytical thinking, problem solving, reliability, dependability, teamwork, time management, and service excellence are required with technical competencies in andragogy, accreditation processing, and curriculum planning.
