Collaborate with the IT Authorization team to implement required changes.

  1. Gain and build expertise in authorization concepts, including company structure and its impact on role domains, user groups, and user IDs.
  2. Authorization Analysis:

Analyze SAP authorization changes from a business perspective, ensuring alignment with authorization and:

  1. Segregation of Duties (SOD) concepts.
  2. Gather and share business insights to support solutions for SAP authorization incidents.

Assess and update the business and technical SOD ruleset impact of concept changes.

  1. Oversee complex user SAP authorization requests requiring SOD checks and conflict removal.
  2. Maintain GRC master data, including updates of Role Owners and Risk Owners.

Monitoring and Control:

  1. Design and implement regular checks on the authorization concept and user access to ensure SOD.
  2. Update dashboards and reports to analyze and determine the root cause of SOD conflicts.
  3. Detect unauthorized authorization changes impacting the SOD ruleset and follow up on periodic controls.

Process Improvement:

  1. Support the redesign and improvement of procedures involving SAP authorizations.
  2. Maintain documentation related to SAP authorization processes, including project documentation, business ruleset changes, and detective controls like user access reviews.

Knowledge Sharing:

  1. Share knowledge with key actors in the authorization processes, including Authorization Key Users and Risk Owners.
  2. Participate in improvement initiatives related to the company's system processes with Business Process Owners and Power Users.

ERP System Optimization:

  1. Recognize and improve the company's use of the global ERP System using best practices and standard solutions.
  2. Design and agree on functional specifications to meet new business requirements, including defining technical specifications for developers.

Technical Coordination:

  1. Advise ERP Global and Regional Governance Teams on decisions leading to common and compatible solutions.
  2. Work with SAP DBS team and other IT external resources to ensure technical solutions meet functional requirements.

Configuration and Testing:

  1. Undertake configuration of SAP where necessary for solution delivery.
  2. Debug and rectify functionality-related system faults.
  3. Perform unit testing to ensure functional requirements.

User Support:

  1. Develop and update system/user documentation when configuration or other changes.
  2. Prepare training materials for monitoring and controlling activities.

SAP System Management:

  1. Oversee the configuration, testing, and maintenance of SAP systems to support business requirements.
  2. Ensure effective integration and alignment of SAP systems with business processes.
  3. Manage system upgrades and participate in regular testing to maintain system integrity.

Authorization Management:

  1. Collaborate with the IT Authorization team to implement necessary changes.
  2. Develop expertise in authorization concepts and analyze SAP authorization changes.
  3. Oversee complex user SAP authorization requests and maintain GRC master data.

Segregation of Duties (SOD):

  1. Implement and monitor controls to ensure segregation of duties and address conflicts.
  2. Conduct regular reviews and updates to maintain the integrity of the SOD framework.
  3. Update dashboards and reports to analyze SOD conflicts and follow up on periodic controls.

Process Improvement:

  1. Participate in initiatives to improve business processes with Business Process Owners and Power Users.
  2. Enhance the use of the global ERP System using best practices.
  3. Design functional specifications and ensure technical solutions meet business requirements.

Training and Support:

  1. Prepare training materials and conduct continuous improvement training for users.
  2. Provide support to business users during QA acceptance testing and system usage.
  3. Develop and update system/user documentation when configuration or other changes.

Project Management:

  1. Manage medium to enormous size projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  2. Coordinate with various stakeholders across the COMPANY to resolve issues and ensure project alignment.
  3. Undertake configuration of SAP where necessary for solution delivery.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  1. Query and analyze data within the existing system to provide essential information for future improvements.
  2. Debug and rectify functionality-related system faults.
  3. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of system performance and issues.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  1. Coordinate with the GRC DBS team to resolve issues on a timely basis.
  2. Support GRC projects and maintain compliance with risk and compliance tools.
  3. Maintain documentation related to SAP authorization processes and GRC master data.

Essential skills and knowledge

  1. Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree in IT or a related SAP field, with a preference for a Master's degree in IT authorizations or an equivalent qualification.
  2. Required Experience: 10-15 years of expertise in the relevant field.
  3. Knowledge of SAP authorizations, including FIORI authorization setup.
  4. Knowledge of SOD concept.
  5. Knowledge of SAP GRC or other risk & compliance tools is a plus.
  6. Critical mindset.
  7. Ability to work independently.
  8. Adaptive learner.
  9. Self-management and decision making, with initiative for continuously improving both business and technical knowledge.
  10. Communication skills: Ability to form and maintain good relationships with many business and technical stakeholders across all affiliates.
