The Information Technology Directorate invites applications for the Campus Solutions Automation Engineer position.

Duties & Responsibilities

This position requires a skillful individual who can develop, support, and maintain the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions at the University, ensuring that the system effectiveness is maximized across the University.

  • Maintain current PeopleSoft Campus Solutions modules; ensure user effectiveness and collaborate with stakeholders to design, implement and develop new PeopleSoft Campus Solutions modules and updates that meet organizational requirements.
  • Support the full life-cycle activities SDLC including enhancements, customizations, interfaces, queries using People Tools.
  • Customize and document software solutions to align with ITIL and UDST IT policies and procedures, to support UDST business processes.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to IT users to increase their knowledge and effective use of the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions systems and generate requested reports from PeopleSoft.
  • Participate in scoping and planning sessions to assess, analyze, and plan for future IT system needs with relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the timely and accurate resolution of IT system issues through daily technical support and problem identification and solution recommendation.
  • Stay updated with UDST mandated programming languages, applications, and software, and be knowledgeable of emerging IT software and development trends.
  • Develop documented procedures for configuring, maintaining, upgrading, testing, and coding UDST IT systems and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in IT or related field required.

Experience:
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in IT or related field.
  • Proficient in using People Tools 8.53 or higher, including Application Engine, XML Publisher reports, Integration Broker, People Code, Application Packages, Fluid Interfaces, Workflows, Webservices, and Activity Guides.
  • Able to write and debug complex database queries in MS SQL or Oracle.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions functional modules (Admissions, Student Records, Grade Book, Student Financials, Self Service) is preferred.
Language:

Fluency in written and spoken English language required. Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language preferred.

Other Required Skills:

Meticulous team player with strong IT technical skills and the ability to apply technical knowledge and provide sound comprehensive support along with a desire to achieve organizational success. Attention to detail, team player, and good time management is essential. Knowledge of analyzing functional requirements and technical know-how of education technologies is preferred. A commitment to ongoing IT training and continuous professional development is desirable. Analytic thinking, problem solving, and service excellence should be the strong attributes.
