Job Summary

To ensure that all Storage, corridors, and service areas are maintained to the standards set by the Assist Director of Room i/c heart of house.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and carpet shampoo machine.
  2. Cleans rooms, hallways and restrooms.
  3. Washes walls and ceiling, moves furniture and turns mattresses.
  4. Receives linen supplies from laundry and stocks linen closets on guest floors in a neat, organized manner.
  5. Maintains housekeeping carts and stocks supplies.
  6. Walks all assigned floors at the beginning, throughout the day and end of shift to collect trash, soiled linen and other items as assigned by management.
  7. Transports clean linen to the housekeeping storage rooms on the floors and refills the par stock of linen on each floor.
  8. Refills the par stock of guest amenities and supplies in each housekeeping storage area.
  9. Assists housekeeping with placing bed boards, roll-away beds, extra beds etc. in an appropriate fashion per standard operating procedures.
  10. Reports missing/found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisor and managers.
  11. Always responds in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other associates.
  12. Handles any tasks assigned by the supervisors as needed.

Standard Responsibilities

  1. Comply and adhere to the Rosewood company policies.
  2. Take on other tasks in addition to the ones stated, in a reasonable framework.
  3. Be a brand ambassador at all times and ensure brand integrity and clarity are always maintained.
  4. Model the company's culture, vision, mission and core values at all times.

Confidentiality

While working for the company, there will be access to a wide variety of confidential information concerning the company, guests, and associates. It is vital that all such information remains confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone outside the company, guests, and employees unless otherwise stated.

Health & Safety

Be aware of and comply with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety rules, regulations and procedures applicable to your place of work. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards at your workplace.

The wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company will be obligatory.

Report any defects in the building, plant or equipment according to hotel procedures.

Ensure that any accidents to associates, guests, or visitors are reported immediately in accordance with correct procedures.

Attend Fire, Health & Safety training and be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning Fire, Health & Safety.

Be fully conversant with:

  • Regulations
  • Risk Assessments for your department
  • Hotel Fire & Bomb Procedures
