  • Manage all execution of electrical commissioning activities to achieve commissioning schedule on target with all safety requirements especially during SIMOPS.
  • Monitor the contractor electrical commissioning activities making sure the OPERCOM methodology is respected and the system database ICAPS is used properly.
  • Lead execution for electrical commissioning at site (At the Yard onshore and offshore) and keep commissioning execution committed to targets defined by the project management, maximizing onshore commissioning activities vs offshore.
  • Monitor VENDOR activities during SAT, Punchlist clearance, OTP, etc.
  • Focal point for electrical commissioning activities for the complete execution stage, promoting and implementing system completion and system completion database at site.
  • Champion initiatives with the Contractor to deliver on the project objectives i.e. safety, quality, cost, and schedule; review contractor's commissioning execution effort and provide recommendations as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and timely review on contractor's commissioning execution plan and processes verifying fitness for purpose and compliance with contract requirements including codes and standards.
  • Ensure coordination and communication for site activities with other disciplines such as construction, hook-up, and Completion Team.
  • Ensure Contractor Commissioning submits all documents as per schedule and that they are timely reviewed and approved in accordance with the contract requirements.
  • Review and propose mitigation for Commissioning aspects of the Risk Management Plan and monitor the mitigation when defined.
  • Review all Commissioning changes, including justification for cost and schedule impacts, in accordance with the MOC procedure.
  • Attend meetings as required, mentor trainees to develop their project skills and experience while on site; maintain a register of lessons learned.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Master's degree in electrical or Bachelor's degree with minimum 10 years experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of total experience with at least 6 years demonstrated as commissioning experience in major capital projects.
  • Fully familiar with commissioning of key electrical equipment such as UPS and HV and LV switchgear, VSR, normal and emergency power distribution, HVAC, Navigation Aid, ELICS/PMS, subsea cable and umbilical, transformer, and electrical protection system.
  • Familiar with LOTO procedures and electrical codes and standards.
  • Familiar with working in interface with several EPCs.
  • Familiar with system completion database ICAPS and OPERCOM methodology.
  • Worldwide commissioning experience with contractors or under company, particularly those involved in the commissioning and start-up support of offshore production facilities.
  • Experience handling contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry and familiar with preparation of workpacks and job cards for offshore campaigns.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT.
  • Application and in-depth knowledge of stakeholder specifications and a working knowledge of industry standards.
  • Conversant with ATEX/IEC regulations.
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
  • Ability to communicate with Contractor's team and obtain required information as requested.
  • Experienced with interface coordination and support activities and documentation.
