Requirements
  • Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Major oil and gas contractors experience.
Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed design calculations for HVAC, Plumbing, & Drainage Equipment, Flow sheets, D&IDs, prepare engineering data sheets, specifications, Material Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations.
  • Perform Vendor Communication, Vendor Drawings, and Data review.
  • Preparation of Engineering Drawings, Preparation of Reports, Project Site visit including offshore site if necessary.
  • Participating in Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests.
  • Prepare Control system drawings, schematics, Cause & Effect, and interface arrangements for HVAC Systems.
  • Conduct engineering analysis and recommend technical solutions.
  • Check and control of design revisions.
  • Identify, resolve engineering issues which are critical for project schedule and cost.
  • Execution of a significant design task with minimal supervision.
  • Review vendor documents, drawings, test procedure, certificates, operating manuals, design books, and engineering data books in accordance with the project design specification and suggest recommendations.
Technical Knowledge / Skills / Competencies
  • Design of HVAC & Plumbing systems for Non-plant and Plant Buildings.
  • Proficient with Carrier Hourly Analysis Program, HAP 5.11. Interdisciplinary coordination with structural, architectural, electrical and any other relevant disciplines is required.
  • Familiarity with Mechanical Static, Rotating and Packaged Equipment will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to interpret Client specification related to engineering designs.
  • Knowledge of applicable local/international standards, statutory, and regulatory specifications.
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, ARI, NEMA, SMACNA, API, SHELL DEPs, UPC, QCS-2014 standards, and Client General Standards, design codes, and standards.
  • Competent in the use of Auto-CAD or Micro station Software.
  • Ability to lead effective meetings and negotiate terms to benefit the organization.
