Position: Mechanical Draftsman

Reporting to: Head of Section - Projects

Primary Responsibilities
  1. The hired person should be capable of producing high quality Mechanical, Piping, process drawings in AutoCAD, following QAFCO Standard, specifications and instructions from QAFCO Engineers.
  2. He/She should be capable of producing drawings out of working sketches provided by Project Engineers.
  3. Carry out modifications/updating/registration/As-built of drawings and documents.
  4. To update and maintain registers such as Line List, Piping drawings etc. produced with Auto plant, Excel, Access, or other relevant software packages.
  5. All hard copy drawings available in Tiff Image to be updated electronically by GTX Cad Plus in AutoCAD base or other available software.
  6. To register, upload, search and retrieve drawings from QAFCO Technical Document Management System (QTDMS) as well as from hard copy drawing archive.
  7. Carry out site surveys to verify the correctness of various drawings.
  8. Assist if required during site execution jobs.
  9. Create work orders, work permits, issuance of warehouse materials, reservations and pick slips.
  10. Obtain unit numbers for new equipment and assign document IDs for various drawings/documents.
  11. To assist project coordinators in preparation of Project binders at various stages of projects including close-outs.
  12. To familiarize and comply with all QAFCO Management system procedures related to Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, Energy and product stewardship.
  13. To produce and update Instrument engineering drawings such as but not limited to:
    1. Document list
    2. General Arrangement drawings
    3. Site Layouts
    4. Vessels/Heat exchangers/Pumps and other equipment details
    5. Piping Isometrics & Pipe supports
    6. Prepare Bill of materials
    7. To identify spares and prepare tie-ins requirements for shutdown
Educational Qualification & Experience
  1. Higher Secondary School (12 Years): Up To 5 Years
  2. Diploma (2 Years): 5 to 10 Years
  3. Advanced Diploma / Equivalent (3 Years): 5 to 10 Years
  4. Bachelor's Degree (4 Years): 5 to 10 Years
  5. Professional Qualifications (Please specify): 10 to 15 Years
