Offshore Instructor

Location: Qatar onshore, Ras Laffan/Doha

Are you an experienced professional in the offshore oil and gas industry with a passion for training and development? We are seeking a highly skilled Offshore Instructor to design, develop, and deliver competency-based training courses that enhance workforce skills and operational excellence.

Job Purpose:
As an Offshore Instructor, you will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs, assessments, and workplace learning materials. You will play a key role in ensuring employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, and deliver advanced-level theoretical and practical training using various learning methodologies.
  2. Conduct competency assessments and provide feedback for skill development.
  3. Analyze knowledge and skills gaps, aligning training programs with operational needs.
  4. Develop and maintain simulator training modules and workplace competency assessments.
  5. Collaborate with line supervisors and training coordinators to ensure training effectiveness.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
  7. Maintain accurate trainee records, including attendance and assessment results.
  8. Provide recommendations for training improvements based on feedback and performance evaluations.
  9. Contribute to the professional development of Qatari employees as part of the Qatarization Program.
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Experience: Prior work in the offshore oil and gas industry, including experience as an instructor.
  3. Strong knowledge of plant processes, production equipment, and DCS process control systems.
  4. Experience in procedure development, analysis, and operations & maintenance.
Skills & Competencies:
  1. Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  2. Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  3. Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems.
  4. Proven ability to conduct engaging training sessions and assessments.
  5. Ability to develop operational process scenarios and modify lesson plans effectively.
