Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Prepare financial management reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
  • Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
  • Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities.
  • Monitor and support taxation issues.
  • Develop and maintain financial databases.
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
  • Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments, and future revenues.
  • Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
  • Monitor accounts and transactions using established format to score for quality and accuracy.
  • Ensure consistency in process and procedures across entities and functions.
  • Track inefficiencies and recurring problems and develop solutions.
  • Develop and design analytical reports to be provided to the management on a monthly basis.
  • Develop and deploy training for new employees and provide ongoing training as needed.
  • Perform any special assignments as requested.

Qualifications:

  • BA or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other equivalent degree.
  • 8-10 years' experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation, and providing financial advice, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Highly motivated with a desire to work hard and exceed objectives/expectations.
  • Keen attention to detail and is adaptable, flexible, and able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to develop, coach, and motivate junior members of the team.
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles.
  • Knowledge of economic principles.
  • Knowledge of auditing practices and principles.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Knowledge and experience of related computer applications.
  • Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.
  • IFRS experience is a plus.
  • CPA is a plus.
