We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Team Lead to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-level cards and payments systems within our bank. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in payment systems, card management, and digital banking solutions, coupled with proven leadership skills to manage a team of IT professionals. A strategic thinker, capable of aligning technology solutions with business objectives to ensure seamless and secure payment processing for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, including developers, analysts, and support staff.
  2. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
  3. Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and provide feedback to team members.
  4. Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of IT projects related to cards and payments systems, ensuring on-time, within scope, and within budget completion.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, product managers, and vendors, to define project requirements and deliverables.
  6. Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution and escalation.
  7. System Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level cards and payments systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  8. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to optimize functionality and user experience.
  9. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in payment processing and data security.
  10. Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior management to define the IT roadmap for cards and payments, aligning technology initiatives with business goals.
  11. Identify emerging trends and technologies in the payments industry, recommending innovative solutions to enhance the bank's competitive edge.
  12. Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and DevOps practices to improve delivery efficiency and quality.
  13. Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring timely delivery of products and services.
  14. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business units, risk management, and compliance teams, to align IT priorities and deliverables.
  15. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and operational excellence.
  16. Compliance & Security: Ensure all cards and payments systems comply with PCI-DSS, GDPR, and local banking regulations.
  17. Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive customer data and prevent fraud.
  18. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within the banking or financial services industry. Proven experience in managing enterprise-level cards and payments systems (e.g., card management systems, payment gateways, digital wallets).
  3. Strong knowledge of payment processing standards, protocols, and technologies (e.g., ISO 8583, EMV, NFC, tokenization).
  4. Experience with cloud-based payment solutions and API integrations is highly desirable.
  5. Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as .Net, Java, Python, or C#. Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server). Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes). Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  6. Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
