Job Title:

Country Head of Operations

Job Purpose:

As the Country Head of Operations for Floward, you are charged with ensuring that the country's operational performance aligns with Floward's high standards. This role encompasses oversight of inventory, production, and logistics to ensure customers receive high-quality products efficiently while managing operational costs effectively. As a responsible leader who leads by example, you possess analytical and strategic acumen and a comprehensive understanding of the eCommerce industry. You will work closely with HR to foster a trusting, inclusive, and productive work environment and coordinate with various functions such as finance, category, and marketing, liaising both within the country and with central teams.

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Governance:

  • Collaborate with the central operations team and the country manager to set KPIs and OKRs for all operational functions.
  • Assist country managers in achieving operational goals while ensuring adherence to Floward policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with other country function leads and central function heads to ensure operations strategy is synchronized with the overall company strategy.

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory management for the country, optimizing stock levels and warehouse operations.
  • Ensure that inventory practices are aligned with strategic goals and support efficient production and fulfilment processes.
  • Consult with the central SCM & Procurement team for guidance on inventory-related decisions and practices.

Fulfilment:

  • Supervise the fulfilment of orders, including production and last-mile logistics.
  • Control operational costs related to production and delivery.
  • Ensure that all operational staff complete the relevant training and maintain high standards of performance.
  • Collaborate with central operations to develop and enhance our internal software systems.

Analysis & Improvement:

  • Analyze operational performance using available data to enhance service delivery.
  • Continually seek methods to improve workforce management and staff planning.
  • Provide stakeholders with insights and advice on local and national market trends.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Mandatory E-Commerce experience with a minimum of 6 years.
  • BSc/BA in Business or another relevant field.
  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager, Head of Operations, Operations Director, or in a similar leadership role.
  • Familiarity with business functions including HR, Finance, Marketing, and IT.
