Company Description Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli is a five-star collection of unique properties located within one of the Middle East’s most renowned historic marketplaces. The eight intimate hotels offer the only accommodation within Souq Waqif, placing guests at the heart of shopping, dining, and cultural experiences in central Doha. Each room and suite is individually designed, featuring restored buildings and rich Arabian décor that reflect Qatari heritage. Guests enjoy access to premium amenities, including a swimming pool, spa, and six specialty restaurants, conveniently connected by golf car transfers. The atmosphere combines luxury hospitality with authentic local character, creating a distinctive environment for team members and guests alike.
Role Description The Beauty Spa Therapist role is a contract, on-site position based in Doha, Qatar. The therapist is responsible for providing a range of professional spa and beauty treatments, such as facials, massages, body therapies, manicures, pedicures, and other services in line with brand standards and guest preferences. Day-to-day tasks include welcoming guests, conducting consultations, recommending appropriate treatments and products, and maintaining a clean, safe, and serene treatment environment. The role also involves managing appointment schedules, preparing treatment rooms and equipment, following hygiene and safety protocols, and ensuring accurate recording of services provided. The therapist collaborates closely with the spa team to deliver high-quality, personalized guest experiences and support the overall operation and reputation of the spa.
Qualifications
- Professional spa and beauty therapy skills, including experience with facial treatments, body therapies, massage techniques, and basic nail care.
- Strong customer service and hospitality skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, build rapport with guests, and respond to individual needs and preferences.
- Knowledge of hygiene, health, and safety standards in spa environments, including proper sanitation, equipment handling, and adherence to local regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a luxury hotel setting, collaborating with colleagues, following brand standards, and maintaining a calm, professional demeanor under pressure.
- Relevant certification or diploma in beauty therapy, spa therapy, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Previous experience in a spa, wellness center, or hotel environment is highly desirable, especially within luxury or boutique properties.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in line with guest demand and spa operating hours.
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills, particularly Arabic, are an advantage.
