Executive Chef - Indian Cuisine (Contract)
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine to join our team in Doha on a contract basis.
As an Indian national, you will bring a deep understanding and passion for traditional Indian flavors and cooking techniques to our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a similar environment, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively.
This is a contract position with accommodation provided. We offer competitive salary package including accommodation for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute creative menus featuring authentic Indian dishes
- Ensure high quality and consistency of all food prepared in the kitchen
- Manage food costs by maintaining inventory levels and controlling waste
- Train, lead, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation
- Collaborate with other departments to create special menus for events or promotions
- Maintain knowledge of current food trends and incorporate them into menu planning
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Oversee ordering of supplies and equipment for the kitchen
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience as an Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine
- Excellent knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques, spices, and flavors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food cost control measures and inventory management
- Good communication skills to collaborate with other departments
- Ability to stay updated on current food trends and incorporate them into menu planning
- Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in a kitchen setting
