Job Purpose
To ensure a safe healthy and environmentally compliant living and working environment across camps and facilities by implementing HSE policies conducting inspections and promoting safety awareness strong strong strong
Key Duties Responsibilities strong
- Implement and monitor Health Safety Environmental HSE policies and procedures across camps and facilities
- Conduct regular inspections of accommodation kitchens dining areas laundries recreational areas and common facilities
- Ensure compliance with local regulations company standards and client requirements
- Identify hazards conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor hygiene sanitation and waste management practices to maintain high standards
- Investigate incidents accidents and near misses prepare reports and recommend improvements
- Conduct safety inductions toolbox talks and training sessions for staff and residents
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment PPE and safety signage
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to address safety-related issues promptly
- Maintain HSE records reports permits and documentation
- Promote a positive safety culture among employees and camp residents
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE, preferably in camps or facilities management
- Knowledge of local HSE regulations and standards
- Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills
- Ability to handle emergencies and enforce safety compliance
