We are a construction company based in Al-Rayyan and we are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter you will be responsible for constructing installing and repairing structures made of wood steel or other materials. Your main duty will be to read and interpret blueprints and follow building plans to meet client specifications.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints to plan the layout of projects
- Measure cut shape and join materials according to specifications
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows frames floorings and trim
- Inspect work for quality control and make necessary adjustments
- Estimate costs for materials and labor needed for projects
- Adhere to all safety regulations on job sites
- Collaborate with other tradesmen such as electricians and plumbers
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role
- Knowledge of woodworking tools and procedures
- Ability to read blueprints and follow building plans accurately
- Good understanding of basic math calculations for measurements
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
Salary
The salary for this position is $1400 per month.
Contract
This is a contract job with an initial duration of 6 months. There is potential for extension based on performance.
Nationality Preference
We prefer candidates who are Kenyan nationals or have experience working in Kenya.
English Speaking
Fluency in English is required for this position as it will involve communication with clients and other team members.
Location
This job is located in Al-Rayyan but may require travel to various job sites within the city.
