Job Title : Business Architect

Location : Qatar

Overview : We are seeking an experienced Business Architect to develop and refine business architecture frameworks, aligning organizational goals with technology and data strategies. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, ensure seamless enterprise integration, and design future-state architectures that enable transformation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Business Architecture Development :
    1. Analyze and document current-state business processes, services, and organizational structures.
    2. Develop future-state business architecture, including services, policies, strategies, and performance indicators.
    3. Conduct gap analyses and design transition roadmaps to achieve the desired state.
    4. Collaborate with domain specialists to align their work with enterprise architecture.
  2. Stakeholder Collaboration :
    1. Work closely with stakeholders to gather and validate business requirements.
    2. Facilitate workshops and discussions to define priorities, align objectives, and clarify dependencies.
    3. Ensure stakeholder needs are accurately represented in business architecture designs.
  3. Governance and Standards :
    1. Establish and enforce business architecture standards and methodologies.
    2. Ensure compliance with enterprise policies, strategies, and frameworks.
    3. Support the input and validation of business architecture components within enterprise architecture tools.
    4. Adopt best-practice business process classification frameworks.
  4. Business Process Optimization :
    1. Apply process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
    2. Support technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and scalability.
    3. Model business processes using BPMN or UML for clarity and alignment.
  5. Integration with Enterprise Architecture :
    1. Collaborate with application, data, and infrastructure architects for seamless integration.
    2. Ensure accurate representation of business architecture components in enterprise tools such as Orbus iServer.
  6. Documentation and Reporting :
    1. Document business architecture components, including processes, services, and performance metrics.
    2. Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
    3. Maintain an up-to-date repository of business architecture components.
  7. Strategic Alignment :
    1. Align business architecture initiatives with organizational goals.
    2. Identify areas for innovation and propose strategies for enhanced performance.

Skills and Requirements :

  1. Education : University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. Experience : 5+ years in business architecture or related roles, with experience in large-scale transformation or public-sector projects. Local Qatar knowledge is a plus.
  3. Certifications : TOGAF certification is a plus. Additional certifications such as CBAP, BPMN, Lean, Six Sigma, Zachman, or DAMA are desirable.
  4. Technical Skills : Proficiency in BPMN, UML, Orbus iServer, Sparx EA, or Aris. Ability to design target operating models and transition roadmaps.
  5. Soft Skills : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, leadership, and team collaboration.
  6. Language : Arabic native speaker with proficiency in English.
  7. Tools and Methodologies : Experience with business architecture modeling tools, Agile, and Waterfall project management. Knowledge of Qatar Enterprise Architecture (GEA) is a plus.

Operating Environment :

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application and data architects.
  2. Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  3. Frequent external stakeholder meetings and workshops are expected.
