The Main Purpose Of Your Role Is To

Lead Snoonu's customer-centric, collaborative, and innovative team of software engineers, including backend, QA, iOS, and Android engineers. You will play a pivotal role in developing world-class software systems and ensuring that your team delivers high-quality features on time. As a tech lead with a strong backend background, you will oversee all aspects of the development process, from design to deployment.

You will have an opportunity to make high-impact contributions as you build a hyper-scale delivery and logistic system used daily by thousands of users in Qatar. To be successful, you must be passionate about programming, team leadership, and solving complex problems.

Some Of What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Lead the design and development of complex, high-load systems from backend to frontend.
  2. Build a back-end platform including templates, libraries, code guides, etc.
  3. Optimize system performance and ensure scalability.
  4. Develop and implement technical strategies and roadmaps.
  5. Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  6. Take responsibility for end-to-end project delivery, from concept to deployment.
  7. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  8. Coordinate with product managers to define technical requirements and project timelines.
  9. Manage technical risks and issues, providing solutions to ensure project success.
  10. Facilitate communication and collaboration across different engineering teams.
  11. Utilize analytics tools to monitor and analyze business metrics within the team's responsibility zone.
  12. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and specifications.
  13. Handle incidents within the team's responsibility zone on all platforms, ensuring timely resolution.
  14. Conduct regular team meetings, collect feedback about existing processes, and propose improvements based on that feedback.
  15. Ensure that your team follows company processes and rules.

Do you have any of these?

  1. 5+ years of experience in a similar field.
  2. Excellent .NET Core knowledge (we are using Net Core 8).
  3. Strong backend engineering background with extensive experience in designing and building scalable backend systems.
  4. Understanding how to develop clear and reusable REST APIs.
  5. Knowledge of async operations and distributed transactions principles.
  6. Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, Microservices, IaC, and Code Review principles.
  7. Leadership experience, with a focus on mentoring and guiding a team of diverse engineers.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  11. Proven ability to lead the development of complex, high-load systems from backend to frontend, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  12. Experience with system architecture and design, including the ability to create detailed technical specifications based on product requirements.
  13. Proficiency in using analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Redash, Tableau) to check business metrics within the team's responsibility zone.
  14. Capability to create simple dashboards and extract metrics for your domain using tools available to the team.
  15. Experience in configuring JIRA for team needs without disrupting other teams' configurations, such as creating specific boards and reports.
  16. Ability to help teammates grow their personal development plans based on existing grades.
  17. Familiarity with graceful degradation software design principles and the ability to implement them in practice.
