Responsibilities
  1. Review and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) or Event Plans at the beginning of each shift to ensure banquet rooms are set as per the customer's request.
  2. Read and execute specifications listed on the Banquet Event Orders.
  3. Attend all pre-shift meetings to ensure events flow smoothly.
  4. Be in communication with the Banquet Captain regarding any functional needs.
  5. Assist in ensuring that each event is on time as per the banquet event course.
  6. Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in the Banquet Event Order.
  7. Make required adjustments as needed and relay that information to the appropriate personnel.
  8. Maintain proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses.
  9. Have a good understanding and able to communicate products and service-related queries to guests when asked.
  10. Deliver and serve welcome drinks, food, meals, condiments, and accompaniments.
  11. Deliver alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for service to your customer's table.
  12. Properly open and pour wine at the table side.
  13. Good knowledge of the rules of Banquet Beverage Control and service.
  14. Take beverage orders and collect payments where specified.
  15. Prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert tables/carts, and cordial carts.
  16. Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation.
  17. Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables after the meal period and deliver them to the stewarding area.
  18. Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
  19. Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
  20. Respond to and try to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements.
  21. Ensure each course is cleared and tables are properly crumbed.
  22. Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor.
  23. Monitor tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests.
  24. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
  25. Attend tables by removing and separating tableware, plateware, glassware, and flatware.
  26. Ensure proper use and storage of all meeting room equipment.
  27. Ensure there is proper backup if any equipment is not functioning properly.
  28. Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas of the Meeting Rooms.
  29. Pass any information that is needed to the next staff member on duty.
  30. Communicate any areas of need, problems, and concerns from guests to the Banquet Manager.
  31. If no upcoming events, ensure rooms are in a readiness position for any possible site inspections.
  32. Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
  33. Ensure that meeting rooms are re-set for the next event.
